making body sprays

I am new to this and read the different recipes for making body sprays. Can you explain the difference between the recipes and the reasons for using the different ingredients (plain water vs. distilled water, witch hazel, etc.) before I give this a try? Thanks.

The reason
by: Alan K

Hi,

The reason we say to use distilled water etc other than tap (regular) water is because of the chemicals that may be in the tap water ? chlorine etc, - change the chemicals (properties) of the oils which may change the aroma of the oil/s and the way the oils work.

Whereas distilled water, witch hazel are pure and usually won?t change the properties of the oils.
