Thinning Hair Loss due to medications pain pills

My hair seems to becoming thinner loss is increasing. I have been on pain medications due to 2 back surgeries I once had a recipe for hair and scalp. I remember only part of the recipe it used grapeseed oil as a base and other oils. Can't find the recipe. I do know that its odor was very strong. Is there a recipe that can help strengthen the hair follicle and stop the hair loss. Also can hormones be part of the problem I am not on hormones. My age is 54 Trying to stay off of the pain medications only take them when needed. Thank you so much for your help.
