When the kids are sick, I like to put them in a nice steamy shower - it warms them, helps them breathe, and generally makes them more relaxed and comfortable.
A few years ago, I started putting a few drops of Peppermint and Eucalyptus essential oils down the side of the tub (near the drain, away from little hands and feet!) and discovered the effect was much more pronounced. After a while, I also discovered Frankincense and Myrrh oils would really help a congested chest.
