Hello, I don?t recommend putting him over a sink with hot water. Let him stay in bed and either diffuse the oils in a dry diffuser (something that will simply evaporate off the oils without the use of water) or put a few drops of the oil on a cloth and place it over his upper chest on top of the blankets, so he can breathe them in. See if he can tolerate the odors of each oil first. Since he is in a fragile state, don?t use more than one drop of eucalyptus and 1 or 2 drops of lemon and tea tree oil twice per day. Eucalyptus shouldn?t be used if your father has epilepsy, high blood pressure, gastrointestinal inflammation or liver complaints. Bear in mind that eucalyptus, if over used, can cause nausea and heart palpitations. All the best to you and your father. Cristl
