Lavender Essential Oils
Lavender Essential Oil Profile.
Botanical name : lavandula angustifolia.
Origin : Australia, France.
Scent : fresh, sweet, floral, herbaceous, slightly fruity aroma.
Note : Middle.
This essential oil is extracted from the flower by steam distillation.
Blends well with cedarwood, clary sage, geranium, pine, nutmeg and all the citrus oils.
Physical Benefits :
- The oil has rejuvenating properties and make it useful in skincare such as acne.
- Just a few drops of this essential oil are effective for topical applications. They used on burns and have been shown to speed healing.
- This oil is antiseptic, and used for wounds disinfectant
- Add to massage oil for sore feet, sore muscle and joints.
- The oil is used for relaxing nerves such as for headache , can be take mild infusion or rubbed in the temples. Can be used also for migraines, and stress.
- When used in aromatherapy bath, this oils will soothe tired nerves.
Cautions : Should not be used during the early stages of pregnancy. Use with caution if you have low blood pressure. high or chronic doses of this essential oil are toxic to the kidney and liver.
