aromatherapy lavender Profile.

Botanical name : lavandula angustifolia.

Origin : Australia, France.

Scent : fresh, sweet, floral, herbaceous, slightly fruity aroma.

Note : Middle.

This essential oil is extracted from the flower by steam distillation.

Blends well with cedarwood, clary sage, geranium, pine, nutmeg and all the citrus oils.

Physical Benefits

Sedative, antiseptic, antibiotic, antiviral and antifungal. Treats burns, abrasions, cough, colds, flu, nausea, ulcers, acne, asthma, insect bites, rheumatism, arthritis, headaches, migraine and insomnia.

Mind and Spirit

This is a great oil to use if you feel overwhelmed or oversensitive. It also helps with anxiety, depression and shock. Lavender can be used to prepare meditation because it balances mind and body, promoting a sense of stillness.

Cautions

Should not be used during the early stages of pregnancy. Use with caution if you have low blood pressure. High or chronic doses of this essential oil are toxic to the kidney and liver.
