Knee Injury

by Kris
(Oregon)

I have recently sprained my knee and since this is the second time in about 3 months, I may be looking at having surgery on my knee. I would be interested in using oils before and after, does any one have any suggestions about which oils would help with pain and inflammation as well as help to heal the joint and possibly the bone, as I do not yet know if it is fractured or not?

Essential oils for knee injury
by: Cristl Arndt

Hi Kris,

Roman chamomile (Anthemis nobilis) and geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) can help with pain, inflammation and soft tissue regeneration.

For each tablespoon of carrier oil (you can use any vegetable oil you have on hand at home) add 6 drops of each essential oil. You can apply the blend before and after surgery 3 - 4 times per day. Essential oils are not known to heal bone. Best of luck.

Cristl
