Easter Aromatherapy Bath Fizzy

Easter is a time of grand celebrations and fun. Hiding the Easter eggs around the house and the Easter Sunday egg hunt are very popular even today.

It is not surprising that during this festive time, the markets are flooded with Easter gifts – most of them are egg shaped or bunny shaped (signifying the Easter bunny).

A step back into the past, and we have other religious significance of the Easter – like the the day of resurrection of Jesus, the time when Spring begins, etc. All these aspects of Easter can ne exploited to make great gifts.

Homemade Easter Gift Ideas - Easter Egg Bath Fizzies

Bath Fizzies is a unique, sculpted salts are delightful as gifts and can be made in any number and size. This solid bath fizzy acts as a giant effervescent tablet in the bath, creating lots of bubbles and releasing its fragrance as it dissolves.

Materials:

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup citric acid
  • 1/4 cup Epsom Salt
  • 10 drops of colorant (optional)
  • 8 drops lavender fragrance oil
  • 4 drops lemon fragrance oil
  • 3 drops roman chamomile fragrance oil
  • Silicone Egg Mold

Instructions:

  • Mix baking soda, cornstarch, citric acid and fragrance oil in a bowl
  • Put the colorant into the mixture. You can separate the mixture and add different color
  • Using a mister, spray the salt mixture with just enough water so that it holds together but does not start fizzing.
  • Pack the salt into the molds
  • Flip over onto a piece of waxed paper and allow molded fizzy to dry overnight
