Highest concentration of essential oils to use on pregnant clients

Is 2% the strongest percentage you can use on a pregnant client - both in massage and topically (eg cream made up to apply to specific problem area as in sciatica?)

I have a client who is in an extreme amount of pain - so much so that her consultant has put her on morphine. She desperately wants to come off this, but I'm unsure how high a percentage I can give her. For example, I use plain oil neat on myself for back pain and it is brilliant - but in pregnancy? I can't believe it's any worse than morphine!

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Sarah,

I feel so bad for your client. In order for me to make any recommendations, I’d first need to know some of her history. How far along is she? Has she had any history of unusual bleeding during her pregnancy? Which essential oils are you using on her now? Has she seen a chiropractor? The recommended concentration for pregnancy in the USA is 1%, so we are even more conservative than you in the UK! Anyway, get back to me and maybe I can help you figure something out.
