emulsification

Have 2 of them. After reading your enclosed recipe for pillow or monster spray, you said to use an emulsifier. Which do you recommend to go through a fine mist sprayer?

Also, I have been making lip balms that have vanilla extracts and other water or alcohol based liquids in them. I've used beeswax, emulsifying wax, stearic acid & vegetable glycerin with the same result, most of the liquid sinks the the bottom. It looks cool, but it's not very effective. Can you help?

When ever you are blending essential oils into a water based finished product such as a linen or room spray you should first blend your essential oils with an emulsifier.

This will help keep the essential oils suspended into the water base.

Or you can continue to shake the bottle between sprayings.

As far as lip balms - I can't help you as I do not make the lip balms we sell - I use a lip balm base and add flavoring oils as suggested by the manufacturer of the lip balm base recommends.
