of Clove Essential Oils in Aromatherapy



Clove Essential Oils Profile.

Botanical name : Eugenia Caryophyllata.

Origin : Indonesia.

Scent : Sweet, hot, spicy rich aroma.

Note : Base.

This essential oil is extracted from the buds by steam distillation.

Blends well with Lavender, orange, bergamot, ylang ylang.

Physical Benefits

Painkiller. Good for rheumatoid arthritis, toothache, neuralgia, gum infections, infected acne, ulcers and wounds. Antiseptic. Also good for prevention of disease, cystitis, diarrhoea, sinusitis. Can be helpful for crohn's disease and low immunity. It has hormonal qualities, so is useful for thyroid imbalances.

Mind and Spirit

A warming winter oil. Good for a relaxant and helps when giving up smoking. Aphrodisiac and increases intuition.

Cautions

For external use only. Not for use during pregnancy. Do not use near eyes or mucous membranes. Irritant to skin in high dose level, dilute first before applying topically.

Note

This essential oil should not be used internally [like for toothaches. It can be used topically on the skin diluted for it's pain-relieving properties.
