Botanical name : Salvia Sclarea.

Origin : Austria.

Scent : Herbal nutty scent.

Note : Top/middle.

This essential oil is extracted from the flowering tops and foliage by steam distillation.

Blends well with Juniper Berry , Lavender, Coriander, Cardomon, Geranium, Sandalwood, Pine, Jasmine, Frankincense, Bergamot and other citrus oils.

Physical Benefits

Good for menstrual disorders, cramp, premenstrual syndrome, high blood pressure and period pain. Excellent for relaxing muscles. Soothing action relieves headaches and migraine by calming tension.

Mind and Spirit

Euphoric. Good for depression, panicky states.

Don't be confused with common sage (salvia officinalis) which is not recommend to be used in Aromatherapy

Cautions

This oil should not be used during pregnancy or while breast feeding. Excessive doses may cause drowsiness. Do combine with alcohol or use before driving. Do not use if prone to heavy periods, as this oil promotes menstrual blood flow.
