chronic telogen effluvium and aromatherapy

First of all, I'd like to thank you all for sharing such great information with us.

I recently purchased Melanie's 3 book combo and I love them! If I hadn't read such informative books, I could've never known enough about hair and aromatherapy. I've recently started massaging my scalp with a blend that I made with %3.5 dilution ratio.

Since I suffered from chronic telogen effluvium, my entire scalp is effected. So, I usually end up using 1/2 oz. blend in one application. Would it be too much to use? Thank you for your help

Essential Oils for Telogen Effluvium

Hello,

Using 1/2 ounce per application will not hurt you but you don't need to use that much. Just dab a bit on the fingertips and try to massage directly onto the scalp so it does not get absorbed into you hair before it reaches your scalp.

Try to see if you can massage the entire scalp using 1/4 oz. This way your supply will last at least twice as long.

You may also want to try to gradually increase the ratio of essential oils/carrier oil as long as you don't have any conditions that would restrict a more potent formula.
