Ceramic oil burner vs metal plate oil burner

Hi there,

Would really appreciate your advice. i bought an electric burner with a metal plate. then bought oil. The instructions on oil says 'to be used with ceramic burner only'. Is this true? can i not use with electric burner? if so, why?

They have same functions

Hi,

I'm not sure why a bottle of essential oils would say to only be used with a Ceramic Plate heating unit versus a Metal plate heater. We have both units here and any of our oils can be used in either unit.

Unless the Manufacturer of the Heating plate has specific requirements, PURE Essential oils should be able to be used in any type of diffuser.

If the essential oils are not pure or are blended with another carrier oil such as Almond oil or such then it could be why they only want it heated in a ceramic plate warmer. As Metal plates heating an essential oil that has been blended with an carrier could potentially get hot enough (although a good warmer doesn?t get very hot) to scorch the metal plate and make it extremely hard to clean.

So I would question the purity of the essential oil.
