carrier oils

I live in rector arkansas and in my area there is not any stores to get carrier oils. Is it possible to make homemade carrier oils?

Hi Amber,

That is no problem at all, you can use vegetable oils from your grocery store! I personally find extra virgin olive oil to be a very good substitute, and you can cut it in half with canola oil if you like. Enjoy!

Hi Carrie,
You asked if you could make your own carrier oils. The answer is pretty much NO unless you have a lot of money. And since it sounds like your funds are limited I'd just buy oil at the grocery store.
If you have the specialized presses you could, but this equipment is very expensive. So unless you plan on pressing oils for a living the best is to just buy it at the store.
For most people you can buy a cheap vegetable oil at the grocery store.
Some stores now carry a large variety of vegetable oils including Coconut, Olive, Sunflower, Safflower and others.
Unless you need a specific 'oil' for a massage or skin care any of the above oils can be used for massage.
Since massage oil goes a long way you can purchase specific oils from various websites at reasonable prices.
