Aroma Spray

Do you have to use alcohol in aroma sprays? Up to date, I have only been using water and oils. They seem to mix well without separation and the aroma seems to last long enough. I also would like to ask if there are any dangers in aroma sprays, i.e a expiry date of aroma mist going bad or nastiest growing in the water. I guess I am looking at it from a health and safety point of view. Hope you can help.

Dear Voula,

It is always wise to add some alcohol to your aroma spray, because it prevents bacteria growth in the water. So, if you make a spray, add 5 -10% of alcohol to the aroma oil, mix well and then add the water. This will keep your spray growth free!

Glass Amber Bottles

Hi,
I am in the process of starting my own aromatherapy business and I am trying to source 100ml glass amber bottles and white mist spray and lotion pumps that are compatible to the glass amber bottles. At the moment I have had no luck. With most companies selling the amber bottles but not matching mist spray/pump or they sell them in black tops. Some companies are asking for minimum order value and wont send out samples. I am in Australia but I am happy to source from overseas if a supplier is willing to send. Does anyone have any ideas where I can source the packaging products I am after.
