Aphrodisiacs essential oils

by Cedric Williams

Hello,

I read your article on aphrodisiacs. I was wondering which essential oil say by itself would be the most potent to get women "wild," almost acting like a pheromone without all those chemical ingredients.

Aphrodisiacs essential oils
by: Liani Widjaja

Hi,

The definition of "Aphrodisiacs" according to Brenda Love, author of Encyclopedia of Unusual Sex Practice is " a chemical that increases or enhances sexual desire and stamina" so just about anything can be considered an aphrodisiacs if it works on one of your five senses and create sexual response.

Scents that has reputation as Aphrodisiacs essential oils are jasmine, ylang ylang, patchouli, sandalwood, rose and vanilla. But studies show that jasmine and ylang ylang are the most relaxing and stimulant essential oils. The combination of these maybe one of the secrets behind most aphrodisiacs scents, since stress and tension are the strong deterrents to passion.

You can try to combine some of aphrodisiacs essential oils to make a blend. This is one of the blend that I know.

Mix all the essential oils listed below in a glass bottle:

12 drops sandalwood, 5 drops ylang ylang, 5 drops vanilla, 1 drop cinnamon, 1 drop jasmine with 4 ounce carrier oil

You can use this blend to dab your point and hair or put a few drops into a warm bath.

Hi Thanks for the detailed reply, it was most informative. I was wondering though in your mix it appears a great deal of emphasis is placed on sandalwood. Would that this is the most potent essential oil? Or was this extra emphasis due to Sandalwood's masculine properties?

Sandalwood
by: Liani Widjaja

Hi,

Can't say sandalwood is the most potent. I just found that blend from Kathy Keville book. And I thought that sandalwood is more masculine than other oils so I suggested that way.

I am glad you found it useful

Thanks
Liani
