We are at the start of a new year: a time of reflection and forward looking, a time of release and renewal. Each New Year’s eve we assess the past year’s positives and negatives and recommit to a new year’s set of resolutions. Often these are ones we have resolved to fulfill year after year (without success), others are new creations in the moment. Aromatherapy can help use create and energy of change and support us in our convictions. Let’s see what essential oils can help you to start with. Some of the essential oils that can refreshing your body and soul are: Lemon, Mandarin, Bergamot, Lavender, Lime, and Juniper. Among all these, my favorite is lemon essential oils. 4. Recommend Book: Daily Aromatherapy: Transforming the Seasons of Your Life with Essential Oils by Joni Keim and Ruah Bull.
The authors want us to experience the subtle energy of each oil and so they offer seven intentional exercises, one for each day of the week: an affirmation, some emotional self-discovery questions, a ceremony, a blessing, an activity, a visualization, and a prayer. They know that many people who are involved with essential oils are "givers, nurturers, and helpers who know well how to give of themselves for others. However, many do not know how to receive well." The exercises in this paperback are excellent tools for those who need to practice receiving. Keim and Bull conclude that they have been moved by essential oils as healers, teachers, and friends, and they hope that we may come to know them in the same way.
